About Aliah University (ALIAH)

Aliah University (AU) is an autonomous university under the  Department of Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education, Government of  West Bengal. It is a minority educational institution as per Aliah  University Act 2007, Section 3 (3). Aliah University was set up as a Madrasah named Mohammedan College of Calcutta in 1780.  In fact, it was the first educational institution set up in India by Warren Hastings, the then Governor General of India. Popularly known as Madrasah-i-Aliah or Calcutta Madrasah it was then Founded to promote the study of Arabic and Persian languages and Islamic law with the aim of producing competent officers for the courts of justice.  In 2007, the Madrasah was upgraded to Calcutta Madrasah College and then to Aliah University by the Government of West Bengal through Aliah University Act XXVII of 2007 passed in West Bengal Legislative Assembly.  The University has been Founded for the advancement of higher education for socially and educationally backward classes belonging to the Minorities.

Aliah University Exam Time Table / Date Sheet

All the students who willing to appeared in Aliah University Undergraduate Examination 2019 are informed that ALIAH UG and Postgraduate Time Table 2019 willing soon available on Official Website. All the students who will appear in ALIAH March 2019 Examination, they can access their ALIAH Undergraduate & Postgraduate Exam Time Table through bellow allocated official direct link.

Students can Download their Respective Semester Exams Scheme for Master Degree Programme, Bachelor Degree Programme, Diploma & Advance Diploma Programme & Certificates Programme, the course will be held in August/ December for all Semester Exams, Exams will be held in two sessions Forenoon & Afternoon. Time Limit for Exam is 3 Hours. Students are advised to keep in touch with the website check notification timely.

ALIAH Exam Admit Card / Hall Ticket Download

The Admit Card for the Written Exam for each course is expected to be released online few weeks prior to the date of the written examination. The Admit card shall contain the information about the student’s name, roll no. photograph, exam center and date/time of the exam. Students can download the admit card from the official portal of Aliah University. We will also provide the direct link to download Aliah University Admit Card 2019 here as and when it released officially. The Students shall strictly carry the Admit card to the Examination center as indicated on the Admit Card. No Student will be allowed to appear in the written test if he/she does not possess a valid Admit Card.

Aliah University Admission 2019

Aliah University (ALIAH) Undergraduate Admission 2019: B.Tech, BA, and B.Ed.

ALIAH offers B. Tech, BA and B.Ed. programs under the ambit of UG programs. The minimum eligibility for B.Tech is, the Student must have passed Class 12th in PCM with minimum 60% marks in the aggregate subjects. The university also offers a lateral entry in the B.Tech programs for Students with Diploma in engineering. Admission to these programs is on the basis of AUAT

Aliah University (ALIAH) Postgraduate Admissions 2019- M.Tech, MA, M.Sc., MCA, LLM and MJMC

For MA, M.A/M.Sc. in Geography & MA/M. Sc. in MJMC; LLM, MA in Urdu; MM/MA in Theology & M.Sc. in Statistics & Informatics or 2-year M.Sc. in Mathematics:

Students who have passed the final examination of any three-year degree program with minimum required marks in concerned Honours/Major subject from any recognized University may apply

Students who have passed Part I & Part II exams or equivalent grade has taken together in respective Honours/Major subjects from any recognized University are also eligible to appear for AUAT; however, their admission will be canceled if they fail to secure an aggregate of 40% marks in the Part III/Final Examination

For M. Tech Programs:

Students should have bachelor's degree in B.E/B.Tech in relevant discipline with 6.5 DGPA from any AICTE approved institution or Students who have passed/appeared 7th semester with 6.5 CGPA (till 6th semester) may also apply.

For LLM.

The Student must have passed 3-year LLB or Integrated 5-year LLB with at least 45% marks in aggregate for being eligible to apply under LLM.

The selection of all the courses will be based on the Entrance test organized by Alia University under AUAT-2019.

Aliah University (ALIAH) Ph.D. Admission 2019

ALIAH offers the Ph.D. programme in various streams such as Engineering, Science, Humanities, Social Science & Religious studies. The University also offers D.Litt. in Humanities, Social Science & Religious Studies & D.Sc in Science & Engineering. D.Litt. & D.Sc degrees are considered above the Ph.D. degree. These degrees are awarded on the basis of Student’s research aptitude & number of publications.

The University invites application twice in a year in the month of April-May & October-November.  Students can apply for any of the Regular full time, Full time Sponsored, Part-time self-sponsored (internal) or Part time self-sponsored (External) categories.

Aliah University (ALIAH) Integrated Programs Admissions – BBA-MBA

ALIAH offers 5-year Integrated program of BBA+MBA. The minimum eligibility for the Student so apply is, he must have passed Class 12th with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English subject. The selection will be made on the basis of merit in AUAT exam.

Online Exam Form of ALIAH

Admission to most of the programs offered at Aliah University (ALIAH) is through Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT) except B.Ed., M.Tech and Ph.D. programs. AUAT is an online entrance test organized by ALIAH. Max. of 3 courses can be filled in the application form by the Students in one application form and the fees of the application form will change subject to the number of subjects filled in it.

2. Click on Admission
3. Open the Application Form
4. Fill all the details correctly stating which course you want to enroll in, uploading the scanned photograph and signature, followed by choosing the center where you want to give the exam of AUAT-2019.
5. Students filling the Online Application can pay the application fee through online payment mode (Debit Card/Credit Card).
6. Click on submit.
7. After the Student has successfully cleared the AUAT-2019 exam and has got his name in the merit list then he is required to fill the form for the Online Counseling by visiting the University Counseling portal by making a payment of registration fees through the Online portal.
